Our Vineyard Story
In 2017 we had a seed of an idea that we would like to plant a few vines on our land.
During 2018 and into 2019 the ‘few’ became many……
Having attended courses, read extensively and sought professional advice,
we established the vineyard ourselves and now nurture it with the help of a small team.
We now have 5200 vines and concentrate on producing a selection of traditional bottle fermented sparkling and carefully crafted still wines to reflect the excitement in
English viticulture.
We are a 5-acre site situated on the edge of Tetbury, we enjoy beautiful views of rolling Cotswold landscape and within walking distance of the town centre.
To help us determine the style of wine we wanted to produce we did an extensive tour of English vineyards. We took into consideration the taste of the finished product together with the vine’s suitability to our microclimate and soil.
The vineyard is south facing for maximum sun exposure, the soil is nutrient rich, free draining, Cotswold brash.
The vines themselves are primarily three varieties.
SEYVAL BLANC
Ideal for cool climate sparkling and still, produces a light crisp wine with flavours of citrus, melon, and apple.
PINOT NOIR
This produces a dry wine bringing sweet and floral flavours such as strawberries, pomegranate and rose.
PHOENIX
This produces a dry aromatic wine with elderflower and herbaceous notes.
Each year is unique and we blend accordingly to produce a variety of wines for our cellar door.
Our wines are for sale at our cellar door, Tours & Tasting and
Summer Pop-ups, through our online shop, or by appointment.
We also offer local delivery within 10 miles of Tetbury.
